Stew Leonard's in Carle Place: Free wine tasting

Exceptional wines from producers such as Castello Banfi, Dominus and Louis Roederer will highlight a free, extensive tasting Saturday at Stew Leonard's Wines in Carle Place.
Castello Banfi's 2006 Brunello di Montalcino, which retails for about $65; the 2006 Dominus, which sells for about $150; and the 2004 Louis Roederer Cristal, a $200 Champagne, will be poured. So will the 2003 Bertani Amarone, typically $120; and the 2009 Far Niente Chardonnay, a $50 bottle.
More than 125 wines from 13 countries will be offered for tasting at the Oct. 22 event, which is slated for 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
