Swingbellys BBQ to do Oktoberfest

If you’re looking for an out-of-the-box Oktoberfest, mark your calendar for Saturday, Oct. 22. From 4 to 10 p.m.,  Swingbellys Beachside BBQ in Long Beach will offer a buffet of German specialties (such as bratwurst and pork schnitzel somehow made with pulled pork) along with 10 Oktoberfest beers. For $40, you can eat and drink as much as you like. And, to get the mood just right, the crew will be dressed in traditional German lederhosen.

Looking ahead a couple of months, the restaurant is getting ready to open a small counter service spot in Lynbrook. Watch for updates.
