CoolFish, the New American restaurant, celebrates the wines of Rioja, Spain at a wine dinner on April 27. The cost is $60 per person, plus tax and tip.

The Rioja region in northern Spain produces many of country's top wines. Sierra Cantabria wines will be featured at the dinner, paired with dishes from chef Tom Schaudel. They include seared calamari, shrimp with garlic sauce, grilled chorizo sausage with spicy potatoes, grilled hanger steak with romesco sauce, and aged manchego cheese with quince

. CoolFish plans to offer specials of Rioja wine by the glass through May 29. The Rioja wines to be served at CoolFish that evening also will be available at Post Wines & Spirits in Syosset.

Post will host a complimentary tasting of the wines of Rioja on May 21, from noon to 5 p.m.
