Sunday April 10 was last call at Tennessee Jed’s Barbeque Grille in Wantagh. The 8-year-old restaurant, a Newsday top barbecue pick, lost its lease at 3357 Merrick Rd. and is decamping to Lindenhurst.
The new Jed’s will be at 143 N. Wellwood Ave., where the Village Lanterne was before it moved a few doors up the street two years ago. Jed’s owner-pitmaster, Francisco Gonzalez, said he will have more room in the new kitchen for his smoker. He hopes to be up and smoking in the new space in May.
