The Boat House in Merrick, a waterfront restaurant that took a severe beating from superstorm Sandy, has finally reopened. This after having missed the 2013 season entirely.

Owner Lindsay Magill said that the remodeled version has a somewhat smaller interior but a bigger outdoor deck with more seating. Gone is the glass atrium.

Executive chef Sabino Avalos remains at the helm. On his menu: lobster bisque ($7.95), a chilled seafood platter ($31.95), seared ahi tuna salad ($18.95),  lobster wrap ($24.95), fried sole ($16.95), Chilean sea bass over spinach with lobster sauce ($29.95) and linguine with clam sauce ($18.95).

The Boat House is at 3000 Whaleneck Dr., Merrick, 516-378-8124.
