WHY GO HERE? Locals especially in the 30- to 50-year-old age range have no problem coming back to the bar section of this restaurant again and again. Just look in the window and you'll see people ...  on top of people ...  on top of people. It looks overstuffed, but the sounds of laughter and conversation reverberating out to the street are joyful and inviting.

LAYOUT: Pub area is small and easily crowded, so your best bet is to get a spot at the bar and stay put for as long as you can. (Luckily the bartenders are used to this and will get to you even if you're having a hard time nudging in.)

THE CROWD: Young faces do show up, but generally the crowd here tends to the more mature side.

BOOZE: Beer, wine, shots and cocktails ($4-$10).

FOOD: Fully loaded menu that features chicken, steaks and pasta ($14-$21), but is dominated by seafood offerings including a $27 plate of Alaskan king crab legs and a whole lobster at market price.

TUNES: Bands play blues, classic rock, acoustic and Motown here almost every night.
