The Lava Grill, specializing in ramen noodles, Korean-style grilled fare, plus steak and potatoes, is in the works to succeed Satsuki in Lynbrook.
Co-owner Amos Shin said the restaurant is expected to open on April 2. Construction is underway.
“It’s going to be a combination of Japanese, Korean, and American” cuisines, Shin said.
Diners should expect fare from a noodle bar, where the main event will take in tonkatsu ramen with pork loin in a soy-and-pork based broth; short rib ramen in soy broth; curry noodles with vegetables; and chilled Korean-style buckwheat noodles.
The grilled dishes will include strip steak, filet mignon, short ribs, pork belly, spicy pork belly, marinated chicken, and a combination plate of tuna and shrimp.
On the side: kimchi of cabbage, cucumber, and turnip; half-sweet pickles; grilled vegetables; and roasted potatoes.
Shin said that lunch will br $5 to $10 per person; dinner, $8 to $15.
The Lava Grill will be at 47 Atlantic Ave., Lynbrook, 516-500-2140, thelavagrill.com
