The big sign says "LUNCH" at this local landmark, which has been frying fish and serving its namesake lobster salad on a hot dog bun for as long as there has been sand on the beach. It's a very casual eatery, with long lines in summer. If you frustrate easily, try take-out. The fish-and-chips is all right, as are most of the fried dishes. Forgo the desire for burgers and the like and stick with the seafood. That lobster salad is very good and it's the primary reason to visit post-surf.

Lobster roll: The salad is tucked into a toasted hot dog bun and served with coleslaw on the side for $18.95. A new lobster salad slider, at $8.95, is a scaled-down version that comes on a miniature hot dog roll. (Both offer the same menu). Good and simple.
