Add The Meal Man to the growing list of Long Island restaurant delivery options. The Arizona-based company has recently expanded to include a Long Island market that, currently, encompasses the area from Smithtown to Port Jefferson and points north and south. Among eateries represented are Raan Thai in Nesconset, Island Empanada in Ronkonkoma and Bobbique in Patchogue.

Owner and founder Brett Tamid said that drivers in chefs’ shirts deliver food,  keeping everything hot in insulated packaging. There’s a $4.99 delivery fee for online orders (themealman.com) and $5.99 for ordering by phone (855-666-3257 or 855-271- TOGO). A 15 percent gratuity is also added to the tab. Participating restaurants are charged a 20 to 25 percent fee, which, Tamid said, is the standard rate.
