This Saturday, Roslyn’s high-end butcher / specialty market will be raising money for the Children’s Medical Fund of New York, a nonprofit that raises money to support the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center at LIJ in New Hyde Park. From 10 a. m. to 5 p.m., The Meat House will be grilling up samples of ribs, pork shoulder and Kobe beef tri-tip. The actual grilling will be performed by members of The Grill Scouts, a Babylon-based competition barbecue team made up largely of women.

Also for sampling: a variety of the shop’s prepared meals and cheese selections, and tastings from select vendors including Main Street Bakery (of Port Washington), Blue Moon and Palm Amber beers and Boar’s Head deli meats.

Ten percent of Saturday’s sales will be donated to the Children’s Medical Fund.

The Meat House, a New Hampshire-based chain with 29 locations in 10 states whose Roslyn store opened in January, is at 1085 Northern Blvd., Roslyn, 516-307-9880.
