On Wednesday March 28, Cooking Channel’s Bal Arneson will be making an appearance at Adelphi University as part of the school’s celebration of National Nutrition Month. On her show, “Spice Goddess,” Arneson presents Indian food that is based on fresh, wholesome ingredients and is easy for Western cooks to prepare.

From 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., a dinner featuring Arneson’s recipes (including tandoori quesadillas, papaya chicken and spiced mushroom risotto) will be served at Post Hall. The price is $10.95 plus tax. At 7 p.m., Arneson will deliver a lecture (free admission) in the Ruth S. Harley University Center entitled “The Making of a Spice Goddess: Education, Identity and Female Empowerment.”

Adelphi is at 1 South Avenue, Garden City. Click here for more information, or call 516-877-4555.
