Peter Gianotti reviews the latest venture from Eric Lomando (whose other restaurants are Kitchen A Bistro and Kitchen A Trattoria in St. James). At Orto in Miller Place, the chef’s “mix of Italian, Italian-American and basically Lomandian dishes stirs up dining out in the neighborhood and miles around.”
Joan Reminick reviews Cedarhurst Café in Cedarhurst, where she is particularly impressed by the lunchtime salads. “Hardly dietetic ‘rabbit food,’ these are substantial bowls of food, classifiable as both creative and offbeat.”
