In this week’s Newsday, Peter Gianotti visits Antonette’s Classico in Rockville Centre. “Although there are lots of Long Islanders whose families came from Sicily,” he notes, “the restaurants that offer Sicilian dishes in Nassau and Suffolk are surprisingly few. To them, add Antonette’s Classico.”

Joan Reminick reviews a more familiar variation on the Italian theme: Porto Fino in Huntington is “part pizzeria, part trattoria” with “good, hearty food that’s priced to please.”
