"Cue Nine is not your daddy’s smoke-filled pool hall," Joan Reminick writes in this week's Cheap Eats column. What sets it apart are the smoked spareribs, "amazing" calamari, kung pao rock shrimp and more, she writes, giving the Levittown restaurant two-and-a-half stars.

Peter Gianotti gives three stars to Asian Bistro Next Door, a new restaurant in Woodbury. The small plates shine, he says, recommending the "mints beef" lettuce wraps, "heart-stopping" braised pork belly and crabmeat-filled purses.
