Pre- or post-fireworks, you'll want to eat. Light up the weekend at one of these big tables.

Instead of igniting your grill, dive into the barbecue at Swingbellys in Long Beach. Get messy with St. Louis-style ribs and baby-back ribs, pulled pork and beef brisket, smoked chicken and andouille sausage, pickle chips and cheese fries. Swingbellys is at 909 W. Beech St., Long Beach; 516-431-3464.

Live jazz juices up brunch at Prime in Huntington, where the sounds turn to live reggae and calypso from 4 p.m. to sunset. Prime boasts an outdoor terrace, dockside tables and a sharp dining room inside, too. Recommended for steaks and salads, sushi and the raw bar. Prime is at 117 New York Ave., Huntington; 631-385-1515.

And Limani, the Greek temple of a restaurant, greets the Fourth of July from a new outdoor patio. The deck sports mahogany tables and rattan chairs, plus hibiscus vines. The main event at Limani is whole grilled fish, but there are plenty of alternatives. Limani is at 1043 Northern Blvd., Roslyn; 516-869-8989.
