<a href="http://www.liwines.com/" target="_blank">The Long Island Wine Council</a> is hosting a summer kickoff at the <a href="http://www.nassaucountyny.gov/agencies/parks/wheretogo/museums/central_nass_museum/old_bethpage_rest.html" target="_blank">Fairgrounds Barn in Old Bethpage</a> Village on June 2. More than 100 wines will be poured by more than 30 local wineries, including Anthony Nappa Wines, Clovis Point, Croteaux Vineyards, Gramercy Vineyards, Old Field Vineyards, Roanoke Vineyards, Shinn Estate Vineyards and Wolffer Estate Vineyards. 
 On the menu are cheeses from Catapano Dairy (Peconic) and Mecox Bay Dairy (Bridgehampton), produce from Harbes Family Farm in Mattituck, and nibbles from chef Tom Schaudel of <a href="http://long-island.newsday.com/restaurants/jewel-restaurant-1.3351211" target="_blank">Jewel</a> in Melville. 
 The event is from 5 to 7 p.m. and tickets are $75 per person. VIP tickets permit the holder to start drinking and eating at 4 p.m. and also grants access to a winemakers lounge where reserve wines will be poured.
