Twisted Vine opens in Huntington

There's new life in a Huntington storefront that was damaged by a fire last year. Replacing the now-relocated XO Restaurant & Chocolate Lounge is Twisted Vine Cocktails & Cuisine, which made its debut this past weekend.

Chef owner Michael Heinlein has overseen the renovation of the space and is offering a repertoire he terms ”modern American — a little progressive.” Heinlein, who describes himself as a self-taught chef, said there will be no Caesar salad or fried calamari on his menu. Instead, a meal might begin with short rib and waffles ($12), followed, perhaps, by seafood Bolognese ($26).  Currently, an abbreviated bill of fare is in effect with new items added daily.

Heinlein said he expects to feature live entertainment on weekends.
