There’s a new place to get your espresso fix in Mineola called Urban Brew Co. It’s owned by Carmelo Sapuppo and Fabricio Stramback, who have carved out a history of restaurants in the region, including P.S. Burgers next door and in Manhattan.

“We’re seeing how many coffee shops are opening around our restaurant in the city,” said Stramback. “We saw there was a need in Mineola.”

Before the partners had opened their burger restaurants, Sapuppo owned PastaVino and Maxxels, both in Mineola, both closed.

Inside the subway-tiled interior at Urban Brew, they’ve set up lounge chairs and two-tops to sip coffee made from Essse Caffe beans. Pastries are made in-house as well as at Rollo Mio in Brooklyn. Lunch options like falafel and salads are made in house and cost under $10. Coffee drinks range from $2 to $4; pastries are under $3.

The shop is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

196 2nd St., Mineola, 516-280-4082, urbanbrewco.com
