Valentine’s Day takeout from Lake House, Bay Shore

There are no more seats available for Valentine's Day in the romantic dining room of Bay Shore's The Lake House, but the restaurant is offering a romantic three-course menu that can be picked up on the evening of Friday, Feb. 14, reheated and served at home.
The minimum order is two meals, but if you’re having a dinner party for Valentine’s Day (hey, it could happen), order away. Each diner has a choice of:
Appetizer
Greens with port-poached pears, Gorgonzola, candied almonds, sherry-shallot vinaigrette, or
Butternut squash bisque with handmade spiced marshmallows, toasted pumpkin seeds, pumpkin seed oil
Entree
Butter-poached lobster with wilted leeks, bacon, sweet-potato hash, basil emulsion, or
Pan-seared filet mignon with red wine risotto, braised oxtail, peas, warm mushroom salad
Dessert
Valrhona chocolate souffle
Price is $60 per person, tax not included. Orders must be received by 4 p.m. on Feb. 11 and picked up anytime on Feb. 14.
