<a href="http://long-island.newsday.com/restaurants/verace-1.1695314" target="_blank">Verace</a> in Islip is doing its part to encourage Long Islanders to stay up later: The Italian restaurant deeply discounts its entire dinner menu for the last hour of service every day — that’s 10 to 11 p.m. weekdays, 11 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, 9 to 10 p.m. on Sunday. Keep your eyes — and mouth — open and you’ll enjoy pizzas, usually $11 to $13, for $6 to $10. Pastas, usually $15, are more like $11. Chicken Parmigiana with smoked mozzarella is $11, down from $16. Salumi, salads, side dishes — they’re all 25 to 30 percent off. 
 The same discounted menu is also available at the bar during weekday happy hours, 4 to 7 p.m. 
 Prefer to eat earlier in the day? Verace has a lunch deal from Monday through Sunday: Two courses for $17. First course is your choice of antipasto or half pasta; second course is a panino, pizza, full pasta or selected entree. Through July 19, if one diner orders the $17 fixed-price lunch, the other diner gets it for free.
