The crowded Long Island fusion scene gets more crowded with the recent opening of Village Asian Fusion Sushi Bar, which serves cuisines of Japan, Thailand, China and even a little Italy in an attractive new space in Great Neck. The extensive menu recognizes no national borders, nor does a specials chalkboard that greets diners at the door.

So you can start with mozzarella sticks ($6.50) or scallion pancakes ($4.50) and move on to udon noodle soup ($9.50) and all incarnations of sushi and rolls (in the $13 to $20 range). For mains, test out the grilled lemongrass shrimp ($16) or order a Chinese lobster stir fry, at market price. There are bento boxes, lunch specials, and salad from the kitchen or from the sushi bar.

The restaurant is open seven days and offers free deliveries for orders over $12.

Village Asian Fusion Sushi Bar is at 36 Middle Neck Rd., 516-563-1339, villageasianfusion.com.
