Vintage Bar & Grill, the Jericho offshoot of St. James Vintage Prime Steak House, has closed.

The restaurant opened in the free-standing Jericho Turnpike building that, from 1967 to 2005, was Capriccio and, after that, Palio, Philippe by Philippe Chow and then, in 2012, Vintage Bar & Grill.

The St. James Vintage, which remains open, is a steakhouse; the menu at the Jericho Vintage, which received 2.5 stars from Newsday, combined steaks and chops with Italian, New American and Asian-fusion items.

At one point in early 2013, there were three venues called Vintage on Jericho Turnpike. But Vintage Restaurant Bar and Lounge in New Hyde Park closed that spring, and now only Vintage 25, the wine bar at The Inn at Fox Hollow in Woodbury, remains.

The next tenant of 399 Jericho Tpke. will be Lisbon Café Grill, owned by Agripino Ferreira and Avelino and Manuel Pinto, owners of Lisbon Café in Carle Place. They hope to open in November.
