It's a different kind of combo plate: shoot nine holes of golf and add a very good dinner.
Blackwells, the two-star restaurant at the Great Rock Golf Club, offers a nine-hole special with motor cart that comes with a $40 voucher for the eatery. It costs $60 Monday to Friday and $70 on weekends. The special is available daily from 3 p.m. You can expand on this with the 18-hole package, available after 1 p.m., for $79 on weekdays and $89 on weekends.
The dinner choices include strip steak, filet mignon, roasted chicken, shrimp scampi-style, grilled baby lamb chops, jumbo lump crab cakes, plus such sweets as bananas Foster for two and a Belgian chocolate torte.
Blackwells is at 141 Fairway Dr., Wading River; 631-929-1800.
