Where to eat, drink and watch election returns
Can't live without watching the election returns Tuesday? If you don't have access to your home TV, you can find something good to eat and drink while checking the counts at these six Long Island restaurants.
Alternate plan: Try calling of your own favorites to see whether they'll be serving and broadcasting as the returns roll in.
At CoolFish (6800 Jericho Tpke., Syosset, 516-921-3250), chef Tom Schaudel’s New American restaurant in an office building, the three TVs by the bar will be tuned to election returns -- “Whoever’s results I like best,” Schaudel joked.
At Willy Parkers American Bar & Grill (71 Hillside Ave., Williston Park, 516-750-8125), a classic pub, most of the 14 TVs will be tuned to the results. What stations will be aired? “Whatever stations our customers ask for,” said co-owner Rino DiMaria.
Tuesday, there will be two TVs tuned to the election in the commodious lounge at Vero (92 Broadway, Amityville, 631-608-4340), the swanky New Italian restaurant that has just reopened after a post-fire hiatus of more than a year.
There are five TVs at Black & Blue Seafood Chophouse (65 Wall St., Huntington, 631-385-9255), which means you’ll find appropriate coverage, MSNBC to Fox News, no matter where you are on the political spectrum.
