After Hurricane Earl exits later today, the weekend looks good. Here are three places to enjoy a last taste of summer -- in spirit if not the calendar. You can celebrate officially until Sept. 22. Get going.

Catch the sunset on Manhasset Bay and nibble on the steamed lobster in Port Washington at Louie's Oyster Bar & Grille. The food has improved a lot in the last year or two and the view has stayed the same. Also recommended: baked clams oreganata, shrimp cocktail, five-spice tuna.

Great South Bay beckons at fatfish wine bar & bistro in Bay Shore. The easygoing spot has a diverse menu but the emphasis, of course, is on seafood. Try the shellfish cocktails, the raw bar, tuna Nicoise, chargrilled mako, chargrilled rib-eye steak, lobster with corn on the cob.

And, assuming Earl hasn't made too much of a mess, taste the last good barbecue on Long Island at When Pigs Fly in Montauk. The casual eatery has some tables in the back. Order at the counter and either dine in or head to the beach. Sample pulled pork, barbecued chicken, fried chicken and, because it's Montauk, a fine lobster roll, too.

When Pigs Fly, 10 South Etna Ave., Montauk; 631-668-8070.
