Alzheimer's walk in Riverhead
When it comes to Alzheimer's disease, we all talk about hope in finding a cure. Here's a chance to walk the talk.
The Alzheimer's Association Long Island is organizing the East End Walk to End Alzheimer's on Aug. 25. Participants can raise money to combat the disease and learn about other volunteer opportunities, from becoming advocates to enrolling in support-services groups.
The walk begins at 11 a.m. at Grangebel Park in downtown Riverhead and continues for about a half-mile to the Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center.
