Decluttering workshop at Babylon Public Library on Aug. 13
It's a bit late for spring cleaning, but it's never too late to get rid of clutter.
If your closets, attic and garage are filled with clothes you'll never wear, items you'll never use or paperwork you'll never need, it's a good idea to throw out the junk or donate possessions that others may need. But financial records such as tax returns and bank statements pose a problem: When and how can you safely discard them?
"Decluttering Your Life," a seminar hosted by the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, will offer advice on how to reduce the stacks of papers clogging your closets and desk drawers.
The seminar is Wednesday, Aug. 13 at Babylon Public Library, 2-3:30 p.m. Registration is required. Go to nwsdy.li/declutter or call 631-669-1624.
