Elmont Library has events on e-books
With the growing popularity of e-books, it's a brave new world for libraries and their patrons. But if you want to borrow a copy of "Brave New World" for your e-reader, what do you do?
Elmont Memorial Library is holding a two-part workshop on how to download electronic books from local libraries. You also will learn how to "return" the books.
The e-reader workshops are next Saturday. Users of Amazon's Kindle should attend the 10-11 a.m. session. Owners of Barnes & Noble's Nook, iPads and other tablets should attend the 11 a.m.-noon session. Both workshops are free, but registration is required. Bring your e-reader with you.
