With the population aging, financial abuse of the elderly is becoming a big concern. A free conference can arm you with knowledge to avoid becoming a victim or help you spot financial abuse if it is happening to a loved one.
"Empowering Seniors to Prevent Financial Elder Abuse" features presentations from a panel of experts, including financial-service company representatives, elder-law attorneys, health-care professionals and state and local government officials.
The conference begins with a complimentary breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock in Manhasset.
