Health, wellness info for elderly, families

A free, daylong expo next Saturday brings together companies and local organizations that offer seniors and their families health and wellness information, products and services. Among the exhibitors are local elder-care law firms, assisted-living centers, home health care companies, home-remodeling experts, and gyms and physical fitness centers. Family caregivers can find useful information from several not-for-profit organizations, including the Long Island Alzheimer's Foundation.

Events throughout the day will include seminars on Medicaid planning, aging-in-place options and choices available for seniors needing assistance with daily living.
