JFK program at Long Beach Library
A question you're likely to hear Friday is, "Do you remember where you were when you heard the news?"
The assassination of President John F. Kennedy on Nov. 22, 1963, was perhaps the most significant historical event in the lives of boomers and younger seniors, and it set the stage for a turbulent decade.
You can share your memories of that day at a free event at Long Beach Library. In addition to your recollections, the discussion will put the assassination into a historical perspective and talk about the various conspiracy theories that have persisted for five decades.
The discussion begins at 2 p.m. Friday, exactly 50 years to the minute that Kennedy was pronounced dead in Dallas.
