Lindenhurst Library hosts job-skills program

If you're older than 50 and can't find a job, it may not be your age that's preventing you from finding work. It may be because your resume or other job-search skills are lacking.

To learn how to polish your resumé and burnish your interviewing technique, head to Lindenhurst Memorial Library Thursday for "The 7 Steps to Employment Success." The free program will be presented from 7 to 9 p.m. by Michael Coritsidis, a Long Island career coach. Among the topics he will discuss are how the look and layout of a resumé are sometimes as important as its content. He will also tell you what to put in the resumé and what is better left unsaid.
