Nominate Nassau Senior Citizen of Year
If you know a Nassau resident 60 or older who is helping others and enriching the lives of neighbors and the community, you can recognize the achievement by nominating him or her for Senior Citizen of the Year.
The annual award, sponsored by the Nassau Office for the Aging, is given to a county resident who, through community involvement, has "demonstrated outstanding concern" to help others. Nominees cannot work for any social-service organization unless it is in a volunteer role.
To get an official application form or for more info, call 516- 227-8919 or email Michele.Greenblatt@hhsnassaucounty ny.us. Nominations will be accepted until March 27.
