Remembering 'Sgt. Pepper' at Cinema Arts
'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," probably the most influential rock album ever, was released 43 years ago next month. Both a precursor to 1967's Summer of Love and a signpost of how rock music was changing, the album transformed The Beatles from simple hit makers to serious musicians.
The album, its creators and its times will be the subject of a multimedia presentation and discussion by Beatles expert Scott Freiman at the Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Tickets are $13. For more information, call 800-838-3006 or visit cinemaartscentre.org.
