Tip: A great way to honor the greatest generation
Here's something to put on your to-do list and the to-do list of your grandchildren: Thank a World War II veteran.
The National WWII Museum in New
Orleans notes that members of "The Greatest Generation" are dying at a rate of more than 700 a day. The museum says this stark statistic makes it crucial to remember, honor and show appreciation for those who fought in World War II.
Veterans Day is Thursday, and the museum says this is a perfect time to encourage your kids and grandkids to talk with any family members who served in the war. Many would love to speak about their wartime experiences.
If no surviving family members served during the war, you can reach out to local VFW posts and see if they are holding
any special World War II events. To
