Tip: Booklet helps vets with benefits

Veterans and their families can find information on a wide range of important subjects in the updated 2011 edition of "Federal Benefits for Veterans, Dependents and Survivors."

The booklet has the latest information on pensions, health care, life insurance and burial and memorial benefits. There are also sections on how you can appeal a decision on a benefits claim, health care for dependents and survivors and other federal benefits you may be entitled to.

The 190-page booklet is available for free at 1.usa.gov/jrwQ1U. There is also an easier-to-navigate Web-based version at 1.usa.gov/kiQeGz. Printed copies are expected to be available later this month for a nominal charge at va.gov.
