For men of a certain age -- and some women -- a Corvette was the dream car of their youth. Chevrolet's sports car zoomed into American pop culture from the day it hit the streets in 1953.

You have two chances to ogle nearly 60 years of the iconic muscle cars over the next week. Long Island Corvette Owners Association has shows at the Long Island Family Festival (lifamily festival.com) in Copiague Sunday, noon- 4:30 p.m., and at Ward Melville Heritage Organization (wmho.org) in Stony Brook next Saturday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. More than 75 Corvettes will be at both sites. Free admission to both shows.
