Tip: Nassau Bar Association has free workshops

Nassau seniors can discuss their legal problems with a lawyer at a free workshop 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday. The Nassau County Bar Association is providing free half-hour consultations at its headquarters in Mineola. Attorneys will offer advice, although they cannot take your case. The clinic is open to Nassau residents 65 and older.

For all Nassau residents at risk of losing their homes, the bar association is holding a free mortgage-foreclosure workshop 3-6 p.m. Monday, with one-on-one guidance from an attorney volunteering his or her time.
