Tip: Nassau Bar sponsors free foreclosure clinics

As the foreclosure mess gets even messier, worried Nassau homeowners can get some free advice from legal experts.

The Nassau County Bar Association is holding a foreclosure clinic Tuesday at its Mineola headquarters at 15th and West streets from 3 to 6 p.m. Bring your mortgage documents.

And for Nassau seniors concerned about issues other than foreclosure, the bar association is offering a legal consultation clinic for seniors earlier that same day, from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

Volunteer lawyers will offer one-on-one advice and guidance at both clinics, although they won't represent you in any legal proceedings.
