Tip: Old-fashioned Memorial Day at Old Bethpage

For those who believe Memorial Day has become more about shopping and sales than tributes and parades, you can celebrate the way they did back in the '80s - the 1880s.

Old Bethpage Village Restoration is presenting a Decoration Day Parade and Ceremony Monday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. with a re-creation of how Long Islanders commemorated the day 130 years ago.
