Tip: Researching medical issues on the web

There's an abundance of information on the Internet. Unfortunately there's also a lot of misinformation. When it comes to your health, you can't afford bad advice.

A free seminar Tuesday, 3:30 to 5 p.m. at SeniorNet's Huntington headquarters is aimed at helping you find the websites that offer sound advice and avoid the ones that dispense information that is potentially harmful or tainted by a vested financial interest. You also will be taught how to locate a doctor who specializes in the illness or symptoms worrying you.
