Gail Sheehy's landmark book "Passages" was a road map of what boomers could expect as they traveled through their 20s and into their 30s and 40s. When the book was published in 1974, the oldest boomer was not yet 30, and the youngest was only 9.

With the oldest boomers now in their 60s, Sheehy has written a play that details another passage. "Chasing the Tiger" depicts Sheehy's role as the primary family caregiver for her husband, the editor Clay Felker, while he battled cancer. Felker died in 2008.

The play will be performed for one night only, tonight at 8 p.m. at the Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor. Tickets are $20. For more information, call 631-725-9500 or go to baystreet.org.
