Rock and roll will never die. Neither will the classics that were popular before it was born.

A new compilation CD of Frank Sinatra's hits will be released Tuesday. The 23 songs in "Sinatra: Best of the Best" cover the years 1953-1980, from "I've Got the World on a String" to "Theme From New York, New York." In between are such classics as "The Lady Is a Tramp," "Come Fly With Me" and "Strangers in the Night."

While there are old treasures on the Sinatra CD, there are new delights on "Duets II," the just-released album from Tony Bennett. (Check out Bennett's version of "The Lady Is a Tramp" -- with Lady Gaga.) Newsday reviewer Glenn Gamboa called the album "an artistic gem," and music lovers agree. It hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts last month, making it the first chart-topping album for the 85-year-old Bennett.
