A midwinter night's preparation may lead to a midsummer night's dream vacation.
If you're planning your summer getaway, travel website Viator.com has some suggestions based on user responses. On the site's just-released list of the world's top 10 attractions, seven are in Europe: the Eiffel Tower and Moulin Rouge in Paris, the Vatican and the Colosseum in Rome, Buckingham Palace and Stonehenge in Great Britain, and Neuschwanstein in Munich, which Viator says is "the model for Disney's Cinderella Castle." Two are in the western United States: the Grand Canyon Skywalk on the Hualapai Reservation in Arizona, and Alcatraz Island, which was selected for its "stunning views" of San Francisco and the bay.
As for the last top attraction on the list, it's just a Long Island Rail Road ride away: the Empire State Building.
