Two free workshops by SeniorNet, a group that focuses on computer education for older adults, can help you keep your cool on summer vacation:
On Wednesday, June 18, "Vacation Planning Online" at the Elwood Library in East Northport will demonstrate how to use the Internet to find the best prices on airfares, rental cars and hotels. You also will learn how to find good restaurants and other services and attractions at your destination. The workshop is from 1 to 2:30 p.m. For more information, call 631-499-3722.
On Thursday, June 19, "Great Travel Apps" at the South Huntington Library in Huntington Station will provide information on the newest must-have travel companions: applications for your smartphone or tablet. These apps can serve as tour guides and help in an emergency. The workshop is from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Call 631-549-4411.
