Many movies carry the disclaimer "Intended for mature audiences," but in reality, most Hollywood films are aimed at children and young adults. Here's a chance to spend an afternoon viewing movies intended for grown-ups.

The Visions of Aging Film Festival screens several movies about the joys and sorrows of getting older. The feature attraction is "Young@Heart," a documentary chronicling a group of singers in their 70s and 80s. Befitting a choral group of seniors, they sing nothing but the standards -- modern standards, that is -- including punk, soul and hard rock. On the set list, for example, are versions of the Ramones' "I Wanna Be Sedated" and James Brown's "I Feel Good."

The festival is Oct. 30 from 1 to 6 p.m. at St. Joseph's College in Patchogue. A donation of $10, $5 for seniors, is suggested.
