Rich cribs: 'Sandcastle' is available
The fanciful Bridgehampton estate known as Sandcastle is back on the rental market for $500,000 for two weeks.
Owner Joe Farrell, the Hamptons builder who constructed the home for his family, is asking $49.5 million for the property, should anyone want to buy. (It is listed with Gary DePersia of The Corcoran Group and Chris Burnside of Brown Harris Stevens.)
The 31,000-square-foot, 11.5-acre spread comes with a two-lane bowling alley, a skateboard half-pipe, a rock climbing wall, a media room with five plasma televisions, a squash and racquetball court, a disco and full bar, a spa, a 60-by-20-foot heated gunite pool with an electric cover and an underwater stereo system, a sunken tennis court and a 10-seat theater.
The house set a record last summer when Farrell got his rental asking price from a businesswoman who stayed there for two weeks with her family.
KENJOCKETY SALE
The Lloyd Harbor estate known as Kenjockety recently sold for $7.78 million.
Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees once owned the 6.7-acre property.
The Tudor home first went on the market for $17.5 million in 2002. Listing agent Suzanne Wehren of Shawn Elliott Luxury Homes & Estates took the listing in January, increasing the asking price by $500,000 to $8.999 million.

GOING, GONE
You can't rent this 10,000-square-foot home in Bridgehampton for the summer: The home, which was the site of the 2007 Hampton Designer Showhouse, has already been rented from Memorial Day to Sept. 30 for $450,000.
But on Oct. 1, it's all yours -- for $150,000 for the winter or $550,000 year-round.
