Tour Farmingdale's tropical garden tonight

Looking for something to do tonight? Farmingdale State University's Professor Richard Iversen will give a twilight tour of the campus' nationally recognized Tropical Garden at 5 p.m., followed by a presentation on the Amazon Tropical Forest by Professor Eric Morgan.
This year's heat hasn't been kind to my annuals, but it's just what those tropicals crave, so they're in top form for the viewing.
Refreshments will be available -- tropical, natch, and your $35 ($25 for students) admission will go toward the garden's upkeep.

The school is located at 2350 Broadhollow Rd., Farmingdale. Enter the campus through the Melville Road entrance and park as directed. Most likely, the lots near Roosevelt Hall, the Health and Wellness Center, Orchard Hall and the outdoor basketball courts will be available. For greater detail, check the campus map here.
