2 seriously injured in crash that closes Bethpage road

Two people were critically injured in a single-vehicle crash that closed Plainview Road at Hay Path Road in Bethpage before dawn Tuesday.
Nassau County police said the victims were believed to be a man and woman. At least one person was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow. Crash investigators were at the scene, police said. The crash occurred at 5:21 a.m., when a white Yukon sport utility vehicle struck a tree.
No additional details were immediately available.
