Accident closes part of Sunrise Highway

Nassau County police closed Sunrise Highway in both directions in Wantagh for a time Saturday afternoon after a serious car crash, they said.
The crash was at 5:10 p.m. and closed the road near Morris Gate.
A police spokeswoman did not immediately have information about the crash.
